Seventy-two years ago, the World War II Allied operation “Market Garden” was underway in the Netherlands.
It contained the largest airborne operation to that point and Easy Co., led by Richard Winters, was a part of it.
History would conclude that this operation was a failure and led to the war in Europe dragging on for an additional five months.
But there were victories involved – one of which was enjoyed by Winters and Easy Co.
They had victory because they anticipated problems and were ready when faced with them.
